Food safety solution for bulk almonds

Xnext is a company founded in 2014, specialized in the production of food inspection systems. Our XSpectra technology is the most advanced in the world and it is the only one capable of detecting both high and low density foreign bodies directly in the production line. Thanks to this technological advantage, we can meet all the needs of food producers by helping them solve their safety and quality control problems, and by building systems tailored to their specific requirements. This inspection system, in particular, was created to solve the long-standing issue of quality control in the almond sector. Our customer asked us for a system that would identify bulk almonds with pinholes or insect nests. The solution developed is an XSpectra system with a 600 mm belt on which, in a few milliseconds, almonds go through a hyperspectral analysis, and the individual non-conforming products are ejected by a system of 50 air jet nozzles. We are able to offer this high performance through the synergy of photonics, nuclear electronics and AI. We were also the first to realize the potential of artificial intelligence applied to food safety controls. These three levels of innovation are fully developed by Xnext and allow us to be in total control of our technology. We can continue to improve the technology by offering a technological advance in the food quality control process.
